Humiliated today again!

Today was by far the best preconditions for good tennis. Sun, good balls (Dunlop Fort), fine cout (Persudde) and nice teammates. Almost the entire H35 team was gathered. LG, Per, Anders, Torgny and me. I, Per and LG played on court number one. I did not have a chance to win a ball! It was a long time since I saw Per playing as well and LG played even better. Hope that they can play this way on Saturday.

Back to reality!

When you think that you are good a tennis, you should practice with the men’s team! Today I should have been practicing at lunch, but my friend was unable to attend, so instead it was practicing with TTK’s men’s team. At first it was rock hard courts with no trace of clay, and so the wonderful Dunlop Pro Sport balls, the balls also had some colour of brown which did not help my vision either. I was simply late in my ball striking at all time within an hour of practise. Most of the time I collected balls to the others instead of playing!

It can be heard that there is something special by the name the Royal Tennis Hall. What a place! Stunning surroundings, pool, gym and squash and then tennis courts

Yesterday, I played with Morten and had lunch with, in my opinion, Swedens best/nicest tennisveteran HÃ¥kan Svensson.

Today it’s time for the match against Uppsala. In advance, it is mission impossible. I have found out their team and I know our team, but miracle has happened!

Despite tremendous good preparation such as, made ​​coffee, fixed sandwiches, bought bananas, retrieved balls, retrieved racket, we were badly beating! There was a storm during the game, which I thought would benefit me but it did not.

I played against Magnus Zeile and I played a very good first game where I had eight break balls, but did not win. The game after I was Federer and made two double faults directly, and so it was 0-3. I’ve decided that I should go for my first serves this year but you can not when there is a storm.

I made a good game but had no chance.

Me and Johan then played doubles. We played very well and managed to win four games. I held my serve three times and we broke them one game.
Uppsala won the match 4-0.

Uppsala showed some very nice behavior, and we wish them well in the series!

Time for league game

In recent days I have been practising at the Royal Tennis Hall and at Haga Park. (Within the park is Haga Palace, King Gustav III’s Pavilion, the Chinese Pavilion, the Echo Temple, an older castle ruin (which is not really a ruin as it is the remains of a castle never finished) and several other interesting buildings on the grounds (as the peculiar Copper Tents and also the Butterfly House). Included in the Haga Park is also the Royal Burial Ground of the Swedish Royal family (since 1922), where several members and ancestors of the present Swedish royal Bernadotte family rest.)

At Haga Pelle Larsson was on the court and showed how the game should be played.

Tennis all week!

I usually play tennis Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. One or two hours per session. Besides that I work with my sons, one or two hours per week. So there will be a lot of tennis every week! Wondering what I would do if I did not play tennis?

Today I played one hour with my friend Robin then I played 30 minutes with my sons. Got an email tonight with a picture from when we were in Mallorca. Looking professional anyway

Vamos Rafa!

Nya kläder

Tillbaka i Stockholm och vädret är inte lika värmande som på Mallorca, men skönt att va tillbaks hemma med familjen igen. Jag har haft säsongspremiär på KLTK:s grusbanor. Är tyvärr lite besviken på underlaget, men det beror nog på att de var tunga p.g.a regn. Fick inget resultat med allt mitt springande och rivande med min forehand. Fantastisk omgivning och fantastisk anläggning, så det är bara att fortsätta gneta och hoppas att det torkar upp. Hoppas vädret blir bättre i helgen. Idag var jag hos min leverantör Tennisfashion (Prince och Nike) och hämtade nya kläder som jag beställt. Blev mycket Vamos Rafa!

Mallis del 2

Efter tre dagar i Mallorca och 10 timmar tennis så är det nu slut på det roliga och dags att förbereda hemresa. 2 timmar första dagen och därefter 4 timmar de två andra dagarna. Kan varmt rekommendera Guillermo Vilas Tennis Camp på Mallorca. Bra banor! Trevlig personal och bra kommunikation till Palma. Nu hem till Stockholm och inomhustennis

Spelet har utvecklats mycket dessa dagar och jag har tränat mycket serve och känner mig redo att få storstryk mot Uppsala den 5 maj då vår H35 serie börjar.

Mallis

Äntligen sol! Är på Mallorca med fyra kompisar fre-mån. Nu vankas 2 tennispass per dag. På flyget var 40 personer från Saltsjö Duvnäs TK med också med Kenneth Falk i spetsen. Vilket roligt gäng! Vi spelar på Guillermo Vilas Tennis Camp på Mallorca. Vi kör 11-13 och 15-17. Får se hur formen är när man kommer hem! Vicht! Ses på banan!

Plötsligt stämmer allt

Efter att ha tränat hårt och envist under ett antal veckor så var spelet där äntligen och till min förvåning stämde både serve, returer och övrigt spel. Kul när det händer då man spelar på Centercourten på KLTK. Vicht! Ända minuset på dagens träning var när jag såg Stefan E som jag så gärna vill visa att jag gått fram, då spelar jag mitt ända dåliga game som jag förlorar i övrigt felfritt och inget förlorat game. Vi hann spela två set. Fantastisk serve, bra returer och bra genomförd träningsmatch! Ska inte dra för stora växlar på detta men skönt att känna att spelet finns där!
